You are invited to
The Computational
Systems Bioinformatics Conference
CSB2003
Sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society
in cooperation with the ACM
CSB2003 is very proud to have the support of the world's leading organizations of computer
professionalsthe IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS) and the ACM. With nearly a third of the 175,000
combined membership outside the United States, we believe that this cooperative effort will provide
the strongest possible international communication, cooperation, and information exchange environment
for the field of bioinformatics.
We are also very grateful for the support of the Hewlett-Packard Company and the U.S. Department of
Energy whose generosity has made it possible for CSB2003 to offer the lowest registration fees of
any 4 day conference in this field.
The CSB group, the Computer Society, and the ACM will be a major force
in facilitating the transfer of information technology skills to advance
the scientific understanding of living systems. CSB will pioneer bioinformatics
conferences, special breakout groups, workshop sessions, bioethics
seminars, tutorials, and authoritative publications. Anyone interested
in joining CSB, please send an email to
bioinformatics@computer.org.
CSB's flagship conference is the annual international Computational Systems Bioinformatics
conference held at Stanford University, California, USA in mid August. The conference is totally
dedicated to scientific exchange and networking for leading researchers at the cutting edge of
progress in bioinformatics and thus has no commercial booths.
The Program in a nutshell: 4 Days: 10 tutorials, 28 scientific presentations,
100 research posters, and two special evening events: Bioethics panel
discussion and the DOE GTL workshop. There are 3 keynote speakers
and 9 invited speakerssee details on the Program at:
http://conferences.computer.org/bioinformatics/CSB2003/Program.html.
The registration package includes all meals served in the pastoral
setting of Stanford University (to the left of the building shown
above) and a copy of the Proceedings in book format. The proceedings
will also be available on this Website a few weeks before the start
of the conference.
Register NOW at: http://conferences.computer.org/bioinformatics/CSB2003/Regis.html
for the best registration discounts and to be sure to get your first
tutorial choices and reservation for the GTL workshop/dinner. CSB2003
will have a limit of 800 attendees.
See you at the conference.
